Grenadian Sea Moss is harvested from the pristine waters off the eastern side of the island, in St. Andrew parish, the “breadbasket of Grenada”.
We offer you raw dehydrated and raw hydrated forms. The dehydrated is packed in 6oz pouches. It has a yield of 1:8 so you get 8 ounces rehydrated product to every 1oz dried.
The frozen product is “ready to use”, already hydrated, for people on the go!
Those are sold as 4 pouches of 8oz each, inside one large pouch (32oz per order).
Keep frozen, thaw one pouch at a time as-needed.
Great for your smoothies & shakes. Use as a thickener in gravies, also a key ingredient in vegan ice cream, and as a beauty product. You can use this product as a salad ingredient.
HEALTH BENEFITS
Supports thyroid health and good gut health (acts as a prebiotic) also overall immunity. Additional benefits include improved digestion, and increased nutrient absorption.
Excessive use of this product is not recommended because it is rich in iodine, so while it supports thyroid health, when used in moderation, it can be problematic if “abused”. Also, it can absorb heavy metals if present in the water. Fortunately, the Grenadian waters in which our product is harvested are clean and have a low probability of occurring heavy metals.
Sea Moss is believed to enhance fertility in men and women. We cannot present medical proof of this but it is traditionally believed that Sea Moss enhances virility. In Grenada we mix Sea Moss and Guinness to make a “power drink”. Some mix with peanut butter to make a nice punch, or slip into their smoothies and shakes. We also mix with Bois Bande for a booster.
